On March 16th, the 14th China Wood Protection Conference and the first Wood Industry Science and Technology Achievements Exchange and Matchmaking Meeting were held in Changsha. Hosted by the China Wood Protection Industry Association, Northeast Forestry University, and Central South University of Forestry and Technology, the conference was themed "Sharing New Scientific and Technological Achievements and Promoting New Development of the Wood Industry". It gathered more than 300 academicians, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs in the wood industry field to jointly explore the future development and innovation path of the wood industry.
Li Jian, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the former president of Northeast Forestry University, Wu Yiqiang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Secretary of the Party Committee of Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Liu Nengwen, President of the China Wood Protection Industry Association, and others attended the conference.
The awarding ceremony of the Science and Technology Awards of the China Wood Protection Industry Association was held at the conference. After a rigorous selection process, a number of excellent scientific and technological projects from our company, Sichuan Zhuyuan Technology Co., Ltd., as well as enterprises such as Xishan Home Technology Co., Ltd. in Shunde District, Foshan City, Hubei Huasheng New Wood Panel Co., Ltd., and Millennium Boat New Material Technology Group Co., Ltd. stood out and won the first prize of the 7th Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Wood Protection Industry Association!

Sichuan Zhuyuan Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2010. At the conference, the two academicians delivered keynote speeches respectively. Li Jian, with the topic of "Innovative Research, Enhancement of Carbon Sinks, and Scientific and Efficient Wood Protection", emphasized the importance of scientific research in the field of wood protection and put forward the necessity of accelerating the construction of carbon sinks.
Wu Yiqiang conducted an in-depth analysis centered around "Accelerating the Formation of New Qualitative Productivity to Drive the Innovative Development of the Wood Industry", and put forward suggestions for accelerating the application of new technologies and enhancing the core competitiveness of the wood industry.
Liu Nengwen stated that after decades of development, China has become the world's largest processing country, consumer country, and trading country of wood and wood products. The wood industry has become an important part of China's national economy. Wood protection technology has been widely applied in fields such as outdoor materials, wood structures, wood-based panels, and furniture, making important contributions to promoting the green and low-carbon development of China's wood industry. The purpose of holding this conference is to promote the deep integration of "government, industry, academia, research, and application" in the wood protection industry, accelerate the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, and push the development of the wood industry to a new level.
At the meeting, several leading enterprises in the wood industry and universities jointly signed strategic cooperation agreements, covering multiple fields such as the research and development of wood protection technology, the development of new materials, and intelligent manufacturing. This not only strengthens the deep integration of production, education, research, and application, but also promotes the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, injecting new vitality into the cooperation and development in the wood industry field.
In the Dean's Forum session, deans of wood industry colleges from all over the country gathered together. Focusing on the innovation and development of the wood protection industry, they conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on issues such as the functional improvement of biomass materials, the substitution of wood with bamboo, carbon emission reduction in the wood industry, the research and application of wood in the engineering field, the construction of a production-education-research platform, the high-value utilization of agricultural and forestry biomass, the utilization of imported wood from Russia and Mongolia, and the regional nature of wood resources.
