The Exhibition and Service Center of
Chengdu Park City Education Practice Base has been awarded the "Honorable
Mention in Mixed Use Architecture" category. The project is located in
Xilai Town, Pujiang County, Chengdu City, and is based on the concept of
"rural expression of park city". With the goal of highlighting the
rural expression of park city in high quality, it meets the functional
requirements for conducting activities such as park city education practice,
exhibitions and conferences, and study tours.
In the base, the design concept of "light intervention and localization" is adopted. Materials such as outdoor heavy bamboo flooring, grilles, and finishes made from the bamboo steel® brand of reconstituted bamboo are selected, which are close to the rural style of the park city and demonstrate the rationality and harmony of inheritance and innovation. Bamboo steel® flooring, bamboo steel® grilles, blue bricks, tiles, etc., while continuing the simple feeling of traditional dwellings in terms of perception, also give full play to the advantages of modern technology in environmental protection and energy conservation.
