Bamboo Helps Natural Resource Sustainability

Bamboo grows rapidly maturing within 3 to 5 years, faster than timber trees that normally require 10 to 50 years. This allows for quick resource replenishment and reduces over-exploitation of natural resources.
Bamboo has strong carbon sequestration capacity, surpassing that of ordinary trees, its carbon sequestration capacity is 1.33 times greater than tropical rain forests. During growth, bamboo absorbs large amounts of carbon dioxide and releases oxygen, helping to mitigate global warming.


Our Story with Bamboo

Our story with bamboo started 15 years ago, when our founders discover a high-quality bamboo species (Ci Bamboo) mainly grows in Sichuan province(south-western China),contains more than 70% fiber in its body, has high potential to be building materials.
Known as plant steel, bamboo has distinguished physical properties.Its fiber structure ensure its exceptional tensile ductility. During compression or tension, bamboo distributes stress through the elastic deformation of its fibers, demonstrating steel-like resilience. This enables bamboo to withstand dynamic loads such as earthquake and strong winds, mitigating structural damage risks.
However, raw bamboo has its obvious disadvantages in carrying heavy weight or building modern structures. We determined to produce a better vision of bamboo. 
The bamboo re-composite material(academically known as Bamboo Scrimber) produced by our company utilizes patented technology from the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences, selecting premium bamboo from Sichuan Province as raw material. Through advanced technologies such as fiber separation, directed resin impregnation, and heat press molding, bamboo is transformed into a "steel-like" material. This innovative process creates a new type of bamboo composite with high strength, high density, high toughness, excellent weather resistance, and eco-friendly, low-carbon properties. It serves as a sustainable alternative to traditional building materials like steel and concrete.

We named our bamboo re-composite materials"Bamboo Steel" and registered it as a trademark in 2011. Bamboo Steel is a well-known brand in China's bamboo industry.

After national wood termite testing, the integrity grade is 10.
The average survival rate of termites is 0%, and the average loss rate of the boards is only 0.8%.

New Discovery in Seismic Performance
A significant seismic experiment of bamboo scrimber has been carried out in 2024,leading by Sichuan Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. ("SADI"), This is world's first vibration table test of a bamboo scrimber frame-shear wall structure.All the bamboo used in this project was produced and assembly by us.

The vibration table test of bamboo scrimber frame-shear wall structure was subjected to seismic tests of 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, and 9 degrees of magnitude. It was ultimately loaded to 1.0g (using the El Centro wave, with three-directional loading). The structure successfully passed the test, demonstrating excellent seismic performance and high potential for practical application.

The test demonstrates that bamboo scrimber structural system has excellent seismic performance, which will provide strong support for the large-scale application of bamboo scrimber in structural buildings. 

This will break through the application bottleneck of reconstituted bamboo in building structures, promote the development of modern bamboo buildings, and contribute to the realization of Sichuan Province's dual carbon goals and rural revitalization goals.
